FreeSMS Readme

FreeSMS is a utility program for sending SMS text messages from your desktop PC to mobile phones. It can use a variety of websites and web-services to do this, and most of these require that you register for a username. We recommend the use of the pay sites for reliability and speed of delivery, though we are not affiliated with any of them and cannot be held responsible for the service they provide.

FreeSMS requires the Microsoft .NET runtime to be installed on your machine. The setup.exe program included with this installation will tell you whether you have the required version to run FreeSMS.

Installation

Run the setup.exe program that accompanies this file, it should perform a few simple checks to see if you have the .NET runtime installed, and then allow you to install FreeSMS.

Note: if for some reason you cannot install FreeSMS from setup.exe, you can manually start the install process by double-clicking on the file freesmsinstall.msi in file explorer. If you are still having problems visit the FreeSMS homepage, or contact us on the support email below.
